“The estate takes its name from the numerous springs that flow across its lands, at the foot of a plateau of small Villafranchian pebbles. Although it dates back to the 17th century, it features a new winemaking cellar and a modern bottling facility that allow for a ‘tailor-made’ approach to the various vintages. The result is admirable in this 2007, which combines power and finesse. The nose bursts with a rich array of aromas—blackberry and crushed blackcurrant, rhubarb, garrigue, and menthol. About the estate:

Its name is linked to the many springs that flow around the farmhouse before emptying into the Peyne River. The vineyard spans 75 hectares of hillsides north of Pézenas. The terroir here is complex and varied, dominantly consisting of Villafranchian gravel over red clay and alluvial deposits. The entire Mas Belles Eaux vineyard has been reorganized around traditional Languedoc grape varieties: Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Carignan.
