Mas Haut Buis - Costa Caoude 2013

Mas Haut Buis - Costa Caoude 2013

17/20

RVF

(Notes from the 2012 vintage)

With its carmine red color, the Costa Caoude cuvée offers an intense and elegant nose, marked by small black fruits, with a floral (violet) and licorice touch. A very elegant, refined, and deep wine: the age of the vines gives it great complexity. Don't wait to discover it!

Wine rating (2015 guide) 17/20 (2012 vintage) (Fine wine)

Rated estate (2025 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)

About the estate:

Mas Haut-Buis is first and foremost an exceptional high-altitude site, nestled some 650 meters above sea level, between scrubland, olive trees, and almond trees. The 14 hectares are made up of no fewer than twelve separate plots. Olivier Jeantet, who has been here since 1999, is self-taught and quickly understood the ins and outs of the trade and the standards required to produce great wines of character that reflect the tension and integrity of the Terrasses du Larzac. A heritage of old vines, hard work in the vineyard, aging that favors large containers, and meticulously thought-out blends have enabled this estate to rise to become one of the appellation's sure values.
