Notes: Guide Hachette 2** (remarkable wine) Gault Millau 15.5/20
Le Clos du Fou is the product of an unlikely plot of land, clinging to a south-facing hillside, created more than fifteen years ago by Michel Louison, who demonstrates his uncompromising approach, sometimes tinged with a touch of madness, to get the best out of his terroir. This cuvée is the result of Syrah grapes grown on 100% pure schist soil, combining power and finesse, length and velvety smoothness. A must-try!

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2021 guide) 1*Star (A serious production, recommendable, in line with what one would expect from its appellation(s))
About the estate:
This property made Faugères great in the 1990s, before being taken over by Julien Seydoux, who came here with the modesty to learn about the terroir and the desire to bring Les Estanilles back to the forefront. The wines are gradually adapting to the raw materials and still have room for improvement. The reds are powerful and flavorful, wines with strong personalities.
Guide Hachette des vins
Rated estate (2021 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)
About the estate:
In 2009, self-taught Julien Seydoux bought this 44-hectare estate, which is run organically and produces some truly remarkable Faugères wines. A sure bet.
