No fewer than five grape varieties are used in equal proportions in the production of this Tradition Rouge cuvée, expressing the richness and uniqueness of the schist terroirs of the Faugères appellation. A superb 2007 vintage with beautiful ripe red fruit, notes of black pepper and incense. Full-bodied on the palate with rich tannins and subtle notes of licorice. A great introduction to the Faugères wines of L'Estanilles!

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Rated estate (2021 guide) 1*Star (A serious production, recommendable, in line with what one would expect from its appellation(s))

About the estate:

This property made Faugères great in the 1990s, before being taken over by Julien Seydoux, who came here with the modesty to learn about the terroir and the desire to bring Les Estanilles back to the forefront. The wines are gradually adapting to the raw materials and still have room for improvement. The reds are powerful and flavorful, wines with strong personalities.

Guide Hachette des vins

Rated estate (2021 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)

About the estate:

In 2009, self-taught Julien Seydoux bought this 44-hectare estate, which is run organically and produces some truly remarkable Faugères wines. A sure bet.
