No fewer than five grape varieties are blended in equal parts to create this Tradition Rouge cuvée, expressing the richness and uniqueness of the schist terroirs of the Faugères appellation. A superb 2007 vintage that offers beautiful, well-ripened red fruit along with notes of black pepper and incense. The palate is full-bodied with velvety tannins, complemented by subtle hints of licorice root. A wonderful introduction to L'Estanilles’ Faugères wines!

About the estate:

This estate was the pride of Faugères in the 1990s, before being taken over by Julien Seydoux, who arrived here with the humility to learn about the terroir and the desire to bring Les Estanilles back to the forefront. The aging process is gradually adapting to the wines’ characteristics and still has room to improve. The reds are powerful and full of flavor; they are wines with strong personalities.

About the estate:

In 2009, the self-taught winemaker Julien Seydoux purchased this 44-hectare estate, which is farmed organically and produces wines from the Faugères region that are often remarkable. A sure bet.
