Château des Peyregrandes - Faugères blanc 2019
2*Étoiles
Hachette
Here is an elegant and expressive white Faugères with hints of floral and yellow fruit notes, true to the character of its two grape varieties: Roussanne and Marsanne. On the palate, its richness lends a lovely roundness and luscious, ripe fruit, all perfectly balanced by a lively structure. The long, spicy finish makes this wine an ideal accompaniment to white meats or fish served in sauce.

About the estate:
Marie Boudal meticulously tends her old vines (24 hectares farmed organically) of Syrah, Grenache, Carignan, and Mourvèdre—some of which are over 70 years old—clinging to the steep slopes of Roquessels in the Faugères appellation. She produces two labels: Ch. des Peyregrandes and Dom. Bénézech-Boudal.
