Château des Peyregrandes
The Peyregrandes Castle, part of the Bénézech-Boudal estate, is located in the Hérault department, in the heart of the Faugères appellation. The vineyard covers 25 hectares, planted with old Carignan, Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre, and Cinsault, and—since 2007—Marsanne and Roussanne for the production of white wines.
Owned by the Bénézech family since the end of the last century, it is now Marie-Geneviève Boudal (daughter of Pierre Bénézech), along with her sons Hervé and Laurent, who carry on the family tradition at Château des Peyregrandes. After several years of sustainable viticulture under the Terra Vitis label, the Château des Peyregrandes vineyard convertedto organic farming in 2009.
