Mas des Caprices
Le Mas des Caprices is a vineyard owned by Mireille and Pierre Mann, located on the Leucate peninsula. Children of winemakers and former restaurateurs from Alsace, they settled here in 2005 and began producing their own wines in 2009. Drawing on their Alsatian roots and guided by their philosophy, the couple has successfully channeled their love for the land into wines characterized by fruitiness, a briny edge, and purity—a far cry from the classics.
The Mas des Caprices vineyard now comprises 15 hectares of vines certified as organic and biodynamic. It stretches across a magnificent terroir that ranges from the limestone plateau of Leucate to the schist-rich foothills of the Corbières. Every step of the process, from the vineyard to the winery, is carried out with respect for nature and the wines produced.
Mas des Caprices wines are made primarily from old local grape varieties, such as Grenache Gris and Carignan, and truly shine thanks to their ripeness and the freshness of their fruit.
