Domaine La Bastide - Syrah Vieilles Vignes Les Genêts 2013
This Syrah from old vines is a true treat for the senses. Aromas of ripe black fruits and smoky notes dance in the glass. On the palate, it offers fruitiness and a silky texture, spiced with a lovely acidity. The finish is subtly mineral, and the length is pleasing. A wonderful discovery!

About the estate:
Northwest of Lézignan-Corbières lies a vast estate (180 hectares) focused on exports, acquired in 1987 by Anne-Marie and Guilhem Durand. A pioneer in Languedoc-Roussillon. In 2015, it became the first estate in Languedoc to be acquired by a Chinese group, the importer BHC International Wine Assets Management. Located near the Minervois region, the vineyard is situated on an ancient terrace of the Aude, rich in rounded pebbles.
