Clos Maïa

Clos Maïa is owned by Géraldine Laval, a passionate winemaker who settled in the Terrasses du Larzac region in 2009, after gaining experience at Domaine du Pas de l’Escalette and with Olivier Jullien, another leading figure in the region.

The vineyard, covering just over 4 hectares, is situated on clay-limestone soil near Pégairolles-de-l’Escalette. The vines are cultivated without chemical treatments, with the utmost care. The Clos Maïa vineyard is currently in its fourth year of conversion to organic farming. Winemaking is carried out with minimal intervention, but in a highly controlled manner.

Géraldine Laval produces a cohesive range of fine, delicate, and very easy-to-drink wines that are both authentic and typical of Languedoc grape varieties.
