Clos Maïa

Clos Maïa is owned by Géraldine Laval, a passionate winemaker who settled on the Terrasses du Larzac in 2009, after learning her trade at Domaine du Pas de l'Escalette and with Olivier Jullien, another leading figure in the region.

The vineyard, covering just over 4 hectares, is located on clay-limestone soil near Pégairolles-de-l'Escalette. The vines are cultivated without chemical treatments and with the utmost care. The Clos Maïa vineyard is now in its fourth year of conversion to organic farming. The wines are produced with minimal intervention, but in a highly controlled manner.

Géraldine Laval produces a consistent range of fine, delicate, and very drinkable wines that are both authentic and typical of the Languedoc grape varieties.
