Bettane & Desseauve

“A flavorful, full-bodied, harmonious wine. The nose reveals great complexity, with ripe fruit, elegant oak, licorice, eucalyptus, and tar; the palate is dense, with a tight structure, lingering aromas, and a long, fresh finish. Great potential.” (Bettane & Desseauve Wine Guide) A must-have for your cellar!

Wine rated 15.5/20 (Very good wine)

Rated estate (2025 guide) 1*Star (A serious, recommendable production that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))

About the wine:

A flavorful, full-bodied, harmonious wine. The nose reveals great complexity, with ripe fruit, elegant oak, licorice, eucalyptus, and tar; the palate is dense, with a tight structure, lingering aromas, and a long, fresh finish. Shows great potential.

About the estate:

"Les Creisses" refers to the pebbles. Philippe Chesnelong took over this family estate in 1990. He is assisted by his cousin, Louis Mitjaville, whose reputation extends far beyond Saint-Émilion. The "Les-Brunes" cuvée generally emphasizes power, while the "Des Creisses" cuvée, which is more approachable, bursts with flavor. A truly excellent choice.
