Domaine Ortola
Near Narbonne, the Ortola Estate is located near the Bages pond, in an area with a Mediterranean climate, and on the Quartouze plateau, on clay-limestone soil mixed with rounded pebbles. Sheltered by the Clape massif, this estate of over 110 hectares is farmed organically, having been ECOCERT-certified since 2008 and biodynamically certified by DEMETER.
Purchased in 1983 by Georges Ortola who restored part of the estate; today, it is up to the second and third generations to take over, with Suzane, Hélène, Nelson, and Georges.
The wines of Ortola Estate are born in harmony with nature, following the natural cycles, at the heart of a diverse ecosystem.
