Sainte-Léocadie Estate
Located in Aigne, in the southeastern part of the Minervois appellation in Languedoc, Sainte-Léocadie is a 30-hectare family-owned estate. In 2002, Anne and Thierry Bonnel took over the vineyard, making several changes, notably the acquisition of a new winery for winemaking.
The Sainte-Léocadie estate produces only red and rosé wines from the Minervois region. The estate’s terroir consists of mourrels, an alternating layer of sandstone, limestone, and marl. The vines must draw water from deep within their roots, in soils that are sometimes steep, and benefit from a dry, arid climate with Mediterranean influences.
