Bergerie du Capucin - Larmanela 2012

Bergerie du Capucin - Larmanela 2012

1*Étoile

Hachette

90/100

Robert Parker

"A notch above, Larmanela 2012 starts off reduced but opens up nicely with time. Rich and full-bodied, with lots of black fruit, meaty notes, chocolate, crushed rock, and truffle, this is a wine with supple, round tannins. It is a seductive wine. (Wine Advocate 2015 - Robert Parker)

Wine noted (guide 2018) 1*Star (Very successful wine)

Rated estate (2016 guide) Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)

About wine:

A beautifully crafted vintage. Just wait a little while for the pepper and licorice notes, which are already noticeable, to overpower the aging notes.

About the estate:

After ten years working in a cooperative winery, Guilhem Viau struck out on his own in 2008 and named his estate after the place where his grandmother Jeanne's pastures and sheepfold were located. Today, he manages a 15-hectare vineyard.
