Domaine Les Grandes Costes
Located in the small Languedoc village of Vacquières, north of Montpellier, the domaine Les Grandes Costes covers 14 hectares. At the helm is Jean-Christophe Granier, a former wine journalist, who took over the family estate dating back to 1868 at the turn of the millennium. He renamed the estate Les Grandes Costes, located at at the foot of the Cévennes foothills, and now present in several appellations: AOP Pic Saint Loup, Languedoc, IGP Saint Guilhem le Désert.
In a setting of garrigues, between mountain and sea, Jean-Christophe Granier strives to produce "Signature" wines, made with respect for the environment and faithful to the terroir: Mediterranean and continental influences, calcareous and calcareous-clay soils, integrated soil and vine management (now HVE level 3 certified), traditional grape varieties (Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Carignan), controlled yields.
Domaine Les Grandes Costes wines are available in two ranges: Mas Canaille"pleasure" cuvées, an echo of childhood memories; and Domaine Les Grandes Costes cuvées, in the spirit of heritage, expressing all the typicity and pure expression of Languedoc grape varieties. Wines that don't cheat, faithful to the Languedoc terroir for our greatest pleasure. A Favorite discovery!
