"The elegant signature of Domaines Lorgeril"

“Equal parts Grenache Noir and Syrah in this luscious 2022, which takes its time to reveal its notes of red fruit against a backdrop of spices and garrigue. The fruit really comes into its own on a charming palate, velvety on the attack, full-bodied, and enlivened on the finish by slightly tight tannins that will quickly soften with cellaring or when paired with a dish—such as a rack of lamb with herbs, for example.” (Le Guide Hachette)

Review and opinion by Mr. GILLES D. Published on October 16, 2026

A flattering Faugères that lacks neither character nor body, with a full-bodied palate and great aromatic intensity (baked fruit). A hint of minerality and well-integrated tannins temper the fiery character of this slightly heady red and extend its lingering finish. This terroir-driven wine pairs wonderfully with Aubrac beef tenderloin with Laguiole sauce. Rating = 3.9.
