Bettane & Desseauve
Rated 2*Stars (A solid, recommendable production, though a bit more consistent and uniform than the previous one)
About the estate:
Pierre Halley and Samuel Durand founded this winery in 2017 in the foothills of the Larzac, 20 kilometers from Montpellier, fulfilling their childhood dream. The lineup includes rosés, whites, and reds produced from 15 hectares scattered across small plots and cultivated using organic methods. The reds are remarkably easy to drink, with well-balanced tannins and an accessible, delicate, and flavorful style. One to watch closely.

About the estate:
Pierre Halley, who gradually took over the vineyards from his uncle—a member of a wine cooperative—and Samuel Durand, a former sommelier, established a winery in 2017 in the heart of the garrigue, in Argelliers. The estate comprises 15 hectares of vineyards, currently in the process of converting to organic farming, divided into small plots across two vineyard sites—Font-Belette and Les Champs de Traversiers—at an elevation of over 200 meters.

About the estate:
In Argelliers, just a stone’s throw from Puéchabon, the finest qualities of the Languedoc hinterland are embodied in this young estate, tucked away in the garrigue: a small, secluded corner of paradise, planted with vines amid oak trees, where Samuel and Pierre have crafted a way of life centered on the wine they bottle.
