Hachette

(2013 Vintage Notes)
This small appellation in the Loire Valley produces a white wine with a pale yellow, slightly brilliant color and a complex, aromatic bouquet featuring hints of acacia and the primary aromas of Sauvignon Blanc. The palate is round, clean, and generous, with notes of dried fruit, and a supple, balanced, and lingering finish... It has everything going for it!

About the estate:

Vincent Hayer, who served as the estate’s operations director for nearly 20 years, became the estate manager in 2020. The estate—a former vineyard of Château de Troussay—has been certified organic since 2012 and biodynamic since 2015. Owned by the deeply committed Chevrier family, the estate spans 30 hectares divided between Cour-Cheverny and Cheverny, featuring notably very old Sauvignon vines.

About the estate:

With the departure of Italian Laura Semeria, a new chapter is beginning at the Montcy estate. [...] A family of investors from Orléans will steer the future of this biodynamically farmed property in Cheverny. The wines presented retain an authentic richness and aroma, without any pretension. They respect the aging process and the identity of the Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay for the whites; and the Pinot Noir and Gamay for the reds. Let’s observe the transition...
