Domaine de Montcy
The dMontcy estate is located in Cheverny in the Loire Valley. Established in the 1990s from vines that belonged to Château de Troussay, the Montcy estate Today, the estate covers around thirty hectares spread over four main plots located in the communes of Cheverny, Cormeray, Chitenay, and more recently Celettes. Entirely included in the Cheverny and Cour-Cheverny AOCs, the estate's vineyards are balanced between red (Pinot Noir, Gamay, Malbec) and white (Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Romorantin) varieties, with a particular heritage of old Sauvignon vines planted on the famous "Clos des Cendres."
Certified organic since 2012, the Montcy estate has also been certified biodynamic (Demeter) since 2015. With this in mind, the soil is plowed and the wines are vinified naturally without any addition of oenological products. The work carried out at the Montcy estate aims to respect the grapes as much as possible and to produce Cheverny wines that strongly express the terroir and the work of the vines. The combination of these principles, modern tools, and the generosity of the winegrowers allowsthe Montcy estate to offer delicate and very seductive wines.
