Domaine Bernard Baudry
Bernard Baudry, born into a family of winegrowers in Cravant, began his career as a wine consultant at the Tours laboratory alongside Jacques Puisais, after studying oenology in Beaune. In 1975, he took over a small 2-hectare estate in the Chinon appellation in the Loire Valley. Today, Domaine Bernard Baudry covers 30 hectares of different soil types, a diversity that allows for the application of parcel-by-parcel winemaking principles, where each wine is distinguished by the nature of its terroir.
The Domaine Bernard Baudry vineyard is managed with respect for the environment, with extensive work in the vineyard and manual harvesting. At Domaine Bernard Baudry, "we seek to express the elegance, purity, and aromatic freshness of Cabernet Franc in each of our vintages, in harmony with each of our terroirs." This is the motto of Bernard Baudry, now joined by his son Mathieu, to produce great Loire wines that are highly appreciated by wine lovers.
