Pierre & Bertrand Couly

The Domaine Pierre et Bertrand Couly, founded in 2004, is located in the heart of the town of Chinon and benefits from the climate and exposure of the St. Louans terroir—a terroir well known for Chinon wines, as it was designated a “grand cru” in the 1942 classification.

Pierre and Bertrand Couly craft wines of great character and bring out the best in the Cabernet Franc grape variety on a vineyard that now spans 17 hectares. The rosés are magnificent, and the reds are delightful even in their youth. They offer silky textures that rank among the best in the Loire Valley. And if you’re patient enough to let them age, they’ll reveal the roundness and fullness of this marvelous terroir.
