"From a 140-year-old vineyard, Les Mains 2019 (formerly Les Mains Sales) naturally reveals a deep chalky flavor with a smooth mouthfeel. A wine full of vitality, spherical and with admirable persistence." (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2022 - RVF) When hands come together to destem the grapes, the result is this deep, airy wine... An ode to friendship for this very exclusive cuvée!

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Winery rated 2 stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more consistent and uniform than the previous one)

About the estate:

Frédéric Sigonneau has revived the family estate: this newcomer to Chinon cut his teeth working for Antoine Foucault. His six hectares in Cravant are certified organic, without going to extremes such as sulfur-free for most of his vintages. Les Folies-du-Noyer-Vert wines are aged in wood and are intended for short-term aging.

Rated estate Award-winning wines (This producer's wines are regularly recognized by the guide)

About the estate:

After spending two years in Spain (Dominio de Atauta in Ribera del Duero), Frédéric Sigonneau founded his estate in 2007 using vines from the family farm in Cravant-lès-Coteaux. His vineyard now covers 8 hectares and is farmed organically, with a focus on biodynamics.

About wine:

From a 140-year-old vineyard, Les Mains 2019 (formerly Les Mains Sales) naturally reveals a deep chalky flavor with a smooth mouthfeel. A wine full of vitality, spherical and with admirable persistence.

About the estate:

After gaining experience in Spain (Ribera del Duero with Bertrand Sourdais), Frédéric Sigoneau returned to his native region and took over a few plots in Cravant-les-Coteaux in 2007. He is committed to managing the vineyard and vinifying the wine in the most natural way possible. The estate is now running at full speed with several distinctive vintages. Frédéric's keen sense of fruit is evident in the Les 5 Éléments vintage. Try to find one of the rare bottles of Les Mains Sales for a truly indulgent experience.
