"A real Favorite for this vintage, with superb value for money".

"Full of fruit and elegance, this liquoreux gives off beautiful aromas of candied fruit and citrus on the nose, which then come to life in a broad, ample palate, rich without excess, with great persistence and freshness. Once again, a remarkable Layon, which we'd be delighted to try with a sea bass ceviche with citrus fruit". (Le Guide Hachette 2026). Presence of tartar crystals in no way detracts from the quality of the product, which should be poured with care.

About the wine:

All fruit and elegance, this liquoreux gives off beautiful aromas of candied fruit and citrus on the nose, which then come to life in a broad, full-bodied palate, rich without excess, with great persistence and freshness. Once again, a remarkable Layon, which we'd be delighted to try with a sea bass ceviche with citrus fruit.

About the domain :

This 28-hectare estate, run by the Davy family for five generations, is located on the Corniche angevine between the Loire and Layon valleys. The old wine storehouse is listed (17th c.) and the cellar is housed in a disused coal mine, where the ageing wines mature. A sure bet in Anjou viticulture, often in the spotlight for its sweet wines, coteaux-du-layon and quarts-de-chaume in particular.
