Crémant de Loire
The Crémant de Loire AOC was established on October 17, 1975, and spans three wine-growing regions: Touraine, Anjou, and Saumur. The appellation’s vast size offers a variety of climatic conditions and a rich diversity of soils.
Chenin and Chardonnay are the two star grape varieties of this appellation, but we also find red grapes (Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Pineau d'Aunis...) used as single varietals or in blends. Crémant de Loire is subject to strict specifications: hand-harvesting in perforated crates, aging for a minimum of 12 months on racks, limited pressing... Drawing on the traditional expertise of winemakers and merchants, as well as favorable growing conditions, Crémant de Loire has gradually developed.
