Montgilet Estate
The Domaine de Montgilet was established in the 1880s and is now owned by the Lebreton family. The estate enjoys a well-established national reputation today, taking ever greater care in the production of its wines. Domaine de Montgilet mainly produces Coteaux de l'Aubance appellation wines, made from a selection of noble rot grapes, available in five vintages depending on the sugar content of the grapes and their plot of origin. Domaine de Montgilet also produces AOC Anjou, AOC Cabernet d'Anjou, and AOC Crémant de Loire wines. The estate's terroirsconsistof three different types of schist: clay on blue schist, Angers-Trélazé slate massif, clay loam on gray schist and schist weathering, and clay loam on sandstone schist and purple schist.
