Domaine des Bérioles - Mousseux Brut Tressaillier 2022
“A delightful surprise: this sparkling wine is made from Saint-Pourçain’s native grape variety, 100% Tressaillier.”
“You can’t resist its aromas of candied lemon and citron, along with its fine, lively bubbles. With its dry style, it’s perfect as an aperitif, paired with fresh cheeses or seafood. A real success.” (La Revue du Vin de France, May 2024) A unique experience with this non-dosage sparkling wine, showcasing the grape variety’s authenticity.

About the estate:
This 16-hectare family-owned estate, situated at the foot of a small chapel and crossed by the Way of St. James, was founded in 1989 by Odile and Olivier Teissèdre, who used to supply their grapes to the cooperative winery. Since 2011 and the establishment of the winery, their son Jean has been at the helm. The estate has been certified organic, with a focus on biodynamics, since 2019.

Rated estate (2024 guide) 1*Star (Up-and-coming stars or quality winemakers producing good-quality wines; you won't be disappointed when tasting the wines from these estates)
About the estate:
Jean Teissèdre has quickly established himself as the embodiment of Saint-Pourçain’s renaissance. In 2011, he took over the family vineyards that had previously supplied the cooperative winery. His precise and lively style is evident in his reds (Pinot Noir and Gamay) and his whites (Chardonnay and Tressallier, an old local grape variety to which he is restoring its former glory). The minerality of the whites and the finesse of the reds become more refined with each vintage thanks to increasingly precise viticulture and winemaking techniques.
