The Bérioles estate represents a new beginning for the Saint-Pourçain appellation. The turning point for this 15-hectare family estate came in 2011 when Jean Teissèdre joined his parents Odile and Olivier Teissèdre with the creation of a new winery in an old Bourbonnais building and the start of bottled sales. Passionate about viticulture and rich in experience, Jean is now supported by his sister Sophie and her husband Jérôme Roux. The Bérioles estate is now certified organic and is moving towards biodynamic farming.
The Bérioles estate stands out in this small Loire appellation with its style of precise, taut wines with remarkable finesse. A special feature of the whites is Tressallier, a native grape variety replanted a few years ago, which brings real originality and diversity compared to the region's traditional Chardonnay. The red wines are made from Pinot Noir and Gamay.
