Domaine des Bérioles
The Bérioles Estate is leading a revival in the Saint-Pourçain appellation. The turning point for this 15-hectare family estate came in 2011 when Jean Teissèdre joined his parents, Odile and Olivier Teissèdre, to create a new winery in a historic Bourbonnais building and begin selling their wines by the bottle. Passionate about viticulture and drawing on a wealth of experience, Jean is now supported by his sister Sophie and her husband, Jérôme Roux. The Bérioles Estate is now certified organic and is moving toward biodynamic farming.
The Bérioles Estate The winery stands out in this small Loire appellation for its distinctive style: precise, taut wines with remarkable finesse. A unique feature of the whites is the Tressallier, an indigenous grape variety replanted a few years ago, which brings true originality and diversity compared to the region’s traditional Chardonnay. The red wines are made from Pinot Noir and Gamay.
