The greatest wine of the Loire Valley! It benefits from a unique terroir and location, rare character and elegance, and a remarkable texture that combines power and clarity, richness and precision. It features a very floral bouquet with notes of citrus and orchard fruits. A great Quarts de Chaume!

Guide des Vins Gault & Millau

Rated estate (2012 guide): 5 stars (Outstanding production)

About the estate:

"The Baumard family settled at the Logis de la Giraudière in 1959. Florent Baumard joined his father, Jean, in 1987 and now manages the estate. Here, we alternate between tilling the soil and leaving it grassed (every other row) to preserve the microbial life and its humus potential, and to prevent soil compaction. Thanks to his mastery of winemaking and a deep understanding of the identity of each of his terroirs, Florent Baumard offers an astonishing range of wines.”
