Les Terres d'Ocre

The Les Terres d'Ocre estate was founded in 2013 by three family partners: Eric and Valérie Nesson, the uncle and aunt, oversee the vineyards and sales, while Florent Barichard, the nephew, manages winemaking, the vineyards, and sales. The estate is located in the heart of the Saint-Pourçain appellation, in the communes of Châtel de Neuvre and Meillard. This promising young estate was praised for its first two vintages by the eminent Revue du Vin de France, which described it as “a young estate to watch, promising and emblematic of the appellation’s revival.”

The vineyards of Domaine Les Terres d'Ocre, certified organic in 2020, cover 9.5 hectares, divided into 3.30 hectares of white grape varieties—Trésailler and Chardonnay—and 6.20 hectares of red varieties—Gamay and Pinot Noir. The vineyards are spread across two completely different terroirs that complement each other perfectly: Châtel de Neuvre, with its sandy-clay soil, and Meillard, composed of granite soil.

The wines of the Les Terres d'Ocre estate are aged in concrete tanks and express themselves through their vibrancy, freshness, and the perfect expression of the fruit, paying a beautiful tribute to the grape varieties and terroirs of Saint-Pourçain.
