Les Terres d'Ocre

The Les Terres d'Ocre estate was created in 2013 by three family partners: Eric and Valérie Nesson, uncle and aunt, are in charge of the vineyard and sales, while Florent Barichard, their nephew, is responsible for winemaking, the vines, and sales. The estate is located in the heart of the Saint-Pourçain appellation in the communes of Châtel de Neuvre and Meillard. This promising young estate has been praised for its first two vintages by the eminent Revue du vin de France, which describes it as "a young estate to watch, promising and emblematic of the appellation's revival."

The vineyard of Les Terres d'Ocre, certified organic in 2020, comprises 9.5 hectares of vines, divided into 3.30 hectares of white grape varieties, including Trésailler and Chardonnay, and 6.20 hectares of red grape varieties, including Gamay and Pinot Noir. The vines are spread over two completely different terroirs that complement each other perfectly: Châtel de Neuvre, with its sandy-clay soil, and Meillard, with its granite soil.

The wines of the Les Terres d'Ocre estate are aged in concrete vats and express themselves with vitality, freshness, and the perfect expression of fruit, paying tribute to the grape varieties and terroirs of Saint-Pourçain.
