Les Terres d'Ocre

The Les Terres d'Ocre estate was founded in 2013 by three family partners: Eric and Valérie Nesson, the uncle and aunt, who oversee the vineyards and sales, while Florent Barichard, the nephew, is in charge of winemaking, the vineyards, and sales. The estate is located in the heart of the Saint-Pourçain appellation, in the municipalities of Châtel de Neuvre and Meillard. This promising young estate has been praised for its first two vintages by the renowned *Revue du vin de France*, which describes it as “a young estate to watch, promising and emblematic of the appellation’s revival.”

The vineyards of Les Terres d’Ocre, certified organic in 2020, cover 9.5 hectares, divided into 3.30 hectares of white grape varieties—including Tressailler and Chardonnay—and 6.20 hectares of red grape varieties—including Gamay and Pinot Noir. The vineyards are spread across two completely different terroirs that complement each other perfectly: Châtel de Neuvre, with its sandy-clay soil, and Meillard, composed of granitic soil.

The wines of the Les Terres d’Ocre estate are aged in concrete tanks and are characterized by their vibrancy, freshness, and a true expression of the fruit, paying a beautiful tribute to the grape varieties and terroirs of Saint-Pourçain.
