Notes: 2013 Feminalise Silver Medal
Grown on clay-limestone soil, these 40- to 50-year-old vines produce a Saumur Champigny with a deep, velvety color and bluish highlights, offering a nose filled with lovely fruit aromas. The full-bodied, fruity palate offers excellent length and remarkable balance. A fine bottle!

Bettane & Desseauve
Rated estate (2020 guide) 1*Star (A high-quality, recommendable wine that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))
About the estate:
The arrival of the talented Jean-Philippe Louis as winemaker has breathed new life into this sleeping beauty of the Saumur region, where the soil is clay-limestone and the sun shines generously. The 2018 vintages herald the estate’s resurgence, with a red cuvée from old vines offering rich, full-bodied fruit. The Clos-des-Oratoriens, a white wine, requires more time to develop. Stay tuned!
