Chaintres Castle
Château de Chaintres is a charming 17th-century manor house, weathered by time, surrounded by vineyards, trees, and flowers, located in the heart of the Saumur Champigny appellation. Since 1938, the Tigny family has been continuing the tradition of producing refined Saumur Champigny wines.

The Château de Chaintres wine estate covers around twenty hectares, including the famous Château vineyard, which is exceptionally large and unique in the appellation (nearly 18 hectares). It was planted in 1675 by the Oratorian Fathers of Notre Dame des Ardilliers, who chose this location for its terroir and sunshine.

After being one of the first estates to be certified in sustainable agriculture, Château de Chaintres turned to organic farming and is now certified organic by Ecocert.
