Château de Chaintres

Château de Chaintres is a charming 17th-century manor house, weathered by time, nestled among vineyards, trees, and flowers, located in the heart of the Saumur Champigny appellation. Since 1938, the Tigny family has carried on the tradition by crafting refined Saumur Champigny wines.

The Château de Chaintres vineyard spans some twenty hectares, including the famous Château vineyard, which is exceptionally large and unique within the appellation (nearly 18 hectares). It was planted in 1675 by the Oratorian Fathers of Notre Dame des Ardilliers, who chose this site for its terroir and sun exposure.
 
After being one of the first estates certified in Sustainable Agriculture, Château de Chaintres shifted toward organic farming and is now certified organic by Ecocert.
