Château de Villeneuve 's vineyards are cultivated using a "lutte raisonnée" system, with grass between the rows planted with bluegrass to optimize rooting and water supply to the vines.
Château de Villeneuve's AOC Saumur and AOC Saumur-Champigny wines are vinified in cellars dug into the tufa rock, at a constant temperature (12°). Saumur Champigny and Saumur Blanc are aged in 400 to 500-liter barrels, known as "tons" in the region. Since the 15th century, Château de Villeneuve 's wines have always held a special place in the hearts of Loire wine lovers.

Even though it's aptly named, it was the land registry that bestowed the name on this small 1.5-hectare estate. It is said that horses used to come here to drink... Vinified with an eye for fruit, it's a wine to be savored as a treat, and can also be enjoyed with a sunny lunch. It's perfect for summer grilling, or simply as an aperitif with friends.

"Black cherry on the nose, tannin with a persistent, coated straightness, it's already well in place" (Le Guide Bettane & Desseauve des Vins de France 2015). Aged in 500-liter two- and three-wine barrels, this red from old vines is fresh, developing pleasant floral and citrus notes on the nose. A smooth, juicy and very vinous Saumur-Champigny, to be enjoyed with a fine piece of red meat, for example!
