"A real success—this Chenin has an impeccably silky texture!"

“Vincent Carême upholds his fine reputation with this cuvée made from old (60-year-old) Chenin vines located on the lower slopes of Vouvray. Smoky, fruity (white peach, lemon), and with subtle vanilla notes, the nose is captivating. Well-aged (12 months in barrels), well-structured, and driven by a lovely tart freshness, the palate adds notes of ripe fruit (pineapple, quince) to a full-bodied and stimulating profile. Suitable for aging and pairing with fine dining, it can also be enjoyed in its youth (after aeration).” (Le Guide Hachette 2027).

Wine rated (2027 guide) 92/100

Rated estate (2027 guide) 1*Star (Rising stars or high-quality winemakers producing wines of a good standard—you won’t be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)

About the wine:

The 2024 vintage favors precise, lively, and elegant whites—and, as always, that soft, velvety texture on the palate that is typical of the estate. Le Peu Morier is even more delicate.

About the estate:

The Vincent Carême estate, then known as Domaine de la Haute Borne, was founded in 1999 by the winemaker of the same name on 2.5 hectares of land he acquired to grow grapes. At that time, the estate featured a 16th-century cave cellar. The estate began its transition to organic farming in 2003 and was certified in 2007. As of 2017, Vincent Carême manages 17 hectares of vineyards.
