About the wine:
A hint of smoke appears on the nose, accompanied by red cherries and a promise of richness. Further aeration reveals a floral aroma. The wine is highly concentrated, and the tannins are very refined. This wine is powerful, with ripe, juicy cherries, and full of liveliness, featuring very well-structured tannins. The 20-year-old vines were aged for 16 months in 25% new French oak.

The 2021 Calvert Pinot Noir is a very aromatic wine, with notes of flowers, wild herbs, fennel, and licorice, which create interesting nuances alongside the red cherry and raspberry flavors that emerge on the finish. The tannins are refined and seem to coat the palate with a finesse reminiscent of cocoa powder. The finish is long and lingering, with crisp acidity.
