Quinta Do Pessegueiro
Overlooking the Douro River, in the heart of the valley of the same name, the Quinta Do Pessegueiro combines tradition and modernity. Acquired in 1991 by the famous children's fashion designer Roger Zannier, the impressive technological and architectural winery has made it possible to improve the quality of the wines from the Quinta Do Pessegueiro.

At the helm of this architectural gem and the unique Haut-Douro terroir are Marc Monrose, who is also director of Château Saint-Maur in Côtes de Provence, and João Nicolau de Almeida, who comes from a long line of renowned winemakers in the region. Quinta do Pessegueiro consists of three plots offering different nuances: Pessegueiro, Teixeira, and Afurada. The land and vines are worked in accordance with tradition and exclusively by hand, using a variety of grape varieties, some of which are endemic to the region.

The technological cellar is built on three levels and equipped with a lift cage that allows the juice to be transported upwards and gravity to be used in order to protect the wine from any shocks. A true red wine terroir, the wines produced at Quinta Do Pessegueiro are mainly red: the Aluzé range is available in white and red, the grand cuvée Quinta do Pessegueiro is available only in red, and finally, superb Ports are available in Late Bottle Vintage and Vintage for exceptional years.
