Quinta do Noval

Founded in 1715, Quinta do Noval is located in the Douro Valley in northern Portugal, a region of Europe that remains unspoiled and possesses authentic beauty.

The Quinta do Noval vineyard, covering 145 hectares, is cultivated using a Class A quality-focused approach and is laid out in terraces on the slopes of the rugged valleys of the Douro and its tributaries. It is planted with the Douro’s finest grape varieties: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cão, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Francisca, and Sousão. The plots boast great geographical diversity, notably featuring schist soils mixed to varying degrees with clay.

Quinta do Noval Port wines are produced traditionally by foot-treading the grapes during fermentation, followed by halting fermentation through the addition of high-quality brandy. Quinta do Noval Port wines rank among the region’s finest, distinguished by their distinctive character, quality, and finesse.
