Quinta do Noval

Founded in 1715, Quinta do Noval is located in the Douro Valley, in northern Portugal, a region of Europe that remains wild and authentically beautiful.

The Quinta do Noval vineyard, covering 145 hectares, is cultivated using a quality-focused approach classified as A, and is laid out in terraces on the slopes of the rugged valleys of the Douro and its tributaries. It is planted with the Douro's most noble grape varieties: Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz, Tinto Cão, Tinta Barroca, Tinta Francisca, and Sousão. The plots are rich in geographical diversity, with schist soils mixed with varying amounts of clay.

Quinta do Noval Ports are traditionally made by treading the grapes with the feet during fermentation, then stopping the fermentation by adding high-quality brandy. Quinta do Noval Ports are among the region's elite, thanks to their distinctiveness, quality, and finesse.
