"The enfant terrible of the domain

"The irreducible 2020 produced by Guillaume Tari, has the color of its evolution but has lost none of its freshness and pulpy élan over spicy tannin. Still young, it could easily evolve for 8 to 10 years". (Le Guide RVF 2025) Made for laying down, this rosé is out of fashion, but certainly not out of terroir. A pure reflection of this rough but beautiful land, it is a complete, vibrant and elegant rosé.

Bettane & Desseauve

Bettane & Desseauve

Domaine rated (guide 2022) 4*Stars (Top-quality producers, the glories of French winegrowing)

About the domain :

The terroir is composed of marl and clay soils on a limestone bedrock. Guillaume Tari and his wife manage this place steeped in history with heart and spirit. Preserving nature as much as possible, they produce wines that live up to their philosophy that "quality is a sum of details, each of which requires rigor". Since the king grape variety, Mourvèdre, has the gift not only of expressing the character of its terroir, but also that of its winemaker, the wines show a distinctly Bordeaux trait, sophisticated and well-mannered, without betraying this wild and splendid terroir overlooking the Grande Bleue.

Domaine rated (guide 2023) 1*Star (Stars in the making or quality winemakers with a good level of production, you won't be disappointed when you taste the wines from these estates)

About the wine:

L'irréductible 2020, produced by Guillaume Tari, has the color of its evolution, but has lost none of its freshness and pulpy élan over spicy tannins. Still young, it could easily evolve for 8 to 10 years.

About the domain :

Bordelais Guillaume and Soledad Tari are at the helm of this 500-hectare estate, amidst which nestle 20 hectares of organic vines. One of the main features of this wine estate is its altitude. At 410 meters, La Bégude enjoys a very different climate from that near the coast. With wide temperature variations between day and night, and a windy area, the Mourvèdre grapes ripen slowly but surely. And Grenache takes on a dimension on this "caillasse" terroir that is rarely found in Bandol. With powerful aromas of black fruit and black olive, the reds (50% of the volume) still offer a warm spirit, at the upper limit of ripeness! The rosé is always remarkable for its singular vinosity. The 2019 red is admirably concentrated, with a fine expression of fruit. Let's hope that future vintages follow suit!

Domaine noté (guide 2021) Recommended (Wine producer recommended by Wine Enthusiast)

About the wine:

This ageing rosé reveals fatness, density and ripe red fruit. With its texture, acidity and concentration, this wine has a slight salinity and flavors of wild herbs from the region. It's ready to drink now, but will be much better from 2022.

About the wine:

Beautiful copper color. Vinous, full-bodied, characterful, fresh, with notes of exotic fruit and pomegranate, it holds its head in celery remoulade, zucchini gratin and parmesan.

Atypical rosé, which imposes its style, open a little in advance.
