Notes : RVF 16/20, Bettane & Desseauve 15/20
"Very neat, precise, the Bandol follows closely on the heels of the Faugères. It is perfumed and endowed with fine tannins". (Le Guide des Meilleurs Vins de France 2014 - RVF). A very sunny wine, with just the right balance brought about by the unique tannins of Bandol's Mourvèdre... Elegance and finesse!

Wine rated (2014 guide) 15/20 (Very good wine)

Domaine rated (2016 guide) 2*Stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more regular and homogeneous than the previous one)

About the wine:

Bandol built for ageing, powerful, sappy, austere for now. It will reveal itself with ageing.

About the domain :

Grégory Hecht and François Bannier have given the region a breath of fresh air, specializing from the outset, in 2002, in an ambitious and original quality trade. Carefully selecting their grapes from all around the Mediterranean, from Roussillon to Provence, they vinify and mature ambitious cuvées that often ring true. Every year, they visit several hundred estates to select only the finest grapes and juices, most often from hillside vineyards.

Wine rated (2014 guide) 16/20 (Very good wine)

Domaine noté (guide 2016) Sélectionné (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the estates that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).

About the wine:

Very neat and precise, the Bandol follows closely on the heels of the Faugères. It is fragrant, with fine tannins.

About the domain :

Grégory Hecht and François Bannier continue their wine merchant-ageing business specializing in wines from the Mediterranean arc (Languedoc, Roussillon and Provence), giving a salutary injection of youth to a region lacking initiatives of this kind. The selection is rigorous, with a precise, aromatic style that intelligently dispenses with the influence of new wood. While we salute the work accomplished and the consistency of the most ambitious cuvées, with Faugères and Saint-Chinian among the best in their respective appellations, the range also shows some weaknesses.

A wine of character, fleshy, but which will appreciate another 3/4 years in the cellar.
