"Fresher, livelier, and more complex, the 2011 Saint-Chinian is another fine bottle from this producer. Notes of ripe cherry, blackberry, flowers, and garrigue make up the bouquet, with a medium-bodied, fresh, and supple palate, juicy acidity, and a clean finish. Drink within 4 to 5 years. " (Wine Advocate - Robert Parker). A red wine with a rather unique density and depth, which bring seriousness and character, with very promising aging potential...

Bettane & Desseauve
Wine rated (2015 guide) 15/20 (Very good wine)
Rated estate (2016 guide) 2 stars (A serious and recommendable production, but a little more consistent and uniform than the previous one)
About wine:
This is a beautiful Saint-Chinian with the expected aromatic volume and a finish reminiscent of the garrigue, very typical of the Languedoc region. It is typical of the style of limestone wines from the appellation. A benchmark wine.
About the estate:
Grégory Hecht and François Bannier have breathed new life into the region, specializing from the outset, in 2002, in high-quality, ambitious, and original wine trading. Carefully selecting their grapes from across the Mediterranean, from Roussillon to Provence, they meticulously vinify and age ambitious vintages that often hit the mark. Every year, they visit several hundred estates to select only the finest grapes and the best juices, most often from hillside vineyards.

Wine rated (2015 guide) 15/20 (Good wine)
Rated estate (2016 guide) Selected (Please note that this guide is a ranking and, as such, all the estates listed in it, even those without stars, represent, in our opinion, the excellence of French production.)
About wine:
Saint-Chinian is fresh, smoky, and flavorful.
About the estate:
Grégory Hecht and François Bannier continue to run their wine trading and production business specializing in wines from the Mediterranean region (Languedoc, Roussillon, and Provence), breathing new life into an area lacking initiatives of this kind. The selection is rigorous, with a precise and aromatic style that cleverly avoids the influence of new wood. While we applaud the work accomplished and the consistency of the most ambitious vintages, with Faugères and Saint-Chinian among the best in their respective appellations, the range also shows some weaknesses.
