“The Southern Sun”

Here is a sublime Bandol that will delight your palate with its distinctive notes of coffee, spices, and salted butter, complemented by hints of black berries. When it’s young, be sure to open it a little in advance, as the dominant Mourvèdre needs time to mellow before being enjoyed. A warm, southern wine that whets your appetite for Mediterranean dishes.

Rated estate (2023 guide) 3*Stars (High-quality production, setting the standard in its sector)

About the estate:

Planted in 1980 and purchased in 2010 by Caroline and Philippe Chauvin, this 15-hectare estate—eight of which are in Bandol—is situated on a hillside and laid out in terraces. Facing north and descending a fairly steep slope, the vineyard is rising from the ashes. With the construction of a beautiful winery, perfectly integrated into the landscape, and the opening of a farmhouse inn offering a wide range of products from their own production, the estate takes the concepts of hospitality and terroir very seriously.
