"This Bandol rosé has exceptional aging potential; a wine to discover and rediscover year after year!"

“This estate’s rosé is often among my favorites, and the 2024 Bandol Rosé is no exception. It blossoms in the glass with a lively, vibrant bouquet of pomegranate, spices, crushed stone, curry leaves, and lime. Concentrated, smooth, and brilliant, it offers both finesse and charm on the mid-palate. It concludes with a long, briny finish, offering a sense of harmony and precision. Generous yet balanced, this Bandol Rosé possesses the intensity and structure needed to age gracefully over the coming years. It is a blend of 60% Mourvèdre, 20% Grenache Noir, and 20% Cinsault. ” (Wine Advocate 2025)

4-Star Estate (Producers of the very highest quality, the pride of French viticulture)

About the estate:

A terroir within a terroir—that sums up Terrebrune, a cherished estate led by the co-management of Reynald Delille and Jean d’Arthuis. Located in Ollioules, this estate near the Mediterranean balances the sea mist with first-rate limestone soil. No brute force, nor overly intense color, but wines imbued with sensitivity—ones that deserve time to breathe and reveal their full bouquet. More recently, Julien Paul, a brilliant technical director, has helped the trio assert itself and refine Terrebrune’s precious character. The 2019 vintage stands at the pinnacle of refined, elegant Bandol wines.

Rated Estate (2024 Guide) Green Guide (These estates represent the very best of French winemaking. The finest terroirs cultivated by the greatest winemakers. Tasting their wine is always a magical experience)

About the wine:

Once again, the 2024 rosé proves that, when young, Mourvèdre is a bit of a rebel; you need to let it age for at least a year to smooth out the thiolic notes in its rich, balanced profile.

About the estate:

Located in the town of Ollioules, the estate features 35 hectares of vineyards planted on terraces facing the Mediterranean Sea, which it cultivates using organic farming methods. The vineyard benefits from Triassic clay-limestone marl soil unique to Bandol, which gives it a distinctive character. The property is located just a few kilometers from the sea and benefits from sea mist, which is ideal for Mourvèdre.

This bright and full-bodied 2023 Bandol impresses with its enveloping and delicate texture, bursting with flavors of crushed strawberries, apricot, and spices, and unfolds against a backdrop of great freshness and beautiful volume toward an equally indulgent finish enlivened by a hint of brininess. Although still young, this refined and elegant rosé has already been a huge hit paired with bouillabaisse. Rating = 4.5.

Review by Mr. MATHIEU W. Published on September 19, 2025

Beautiful Bandol pink. Melon pink, reminiscent of the region’s melons. Nose: Immediate notes of garrigue, Mediterranean influences, melon, spice, earthiness, and terroir. Layered and complex. On the palate, everything is repeated: plenty of body, spiciness, saltiness, a coating texture—powerful yet elegant. Here, too, it’s layered and complex. Long finish. This isn’t a patio rosé (though I’d drink it there too ????), but a serious wine that I’ll be pouring later with my homemade fish soup. Score: 17.5/20
