With its generous fruitiness and aromas of garrigue, black fruits, and pepper, the nose reveals captivating notes of violet upon aeration, a hallmark of this predominantly Syrah blend. Smooth and fresh on the palate, this red wine—with a character that is both intense and crisp—is characterized by fine, crisp tannins and a mineral touch, finishing with a mouth-watering aftertaste. Bettane & Desseauve
Wine rated (2019 guide) 14/20 (Good wine)
Rated estate (2021 guide) 2*Stars (A solid, recommendable vintage, though slightly more consistent and uniform than the previous one)
About the wine:
A generous, sun-kissed fruit, dense tannins, and a wine that’s still a bit austere—it’s very young. It will soften and open up with a few more months in the bottle, so don’t rush it.
About the estate:
Located just 900 meters from the sea, this family-owned estate of nearly 80 hectares sold its entire production in bulk until Yannick Burles arrived in 2012 as technical director. Most of the production is now bottled on the estate, producing fine vintages, and year after year the wines are improving admirably. The vineyard has been carefully restructured, which bodes well for the future of this rising star of the La Londe appellation, which is now contributing to the dynamic growth of wines from this commune with undeniable potential. The current team is making the wines shine.

About the estate:
This vineyard, whose existence dates back to the 16th century, became the property of the Carthusian Fathers of La Verne in 1588. In 1855, Horace Vernet, the official painter to Napoleon III, purchased it and built a château on the estate. In 1920, it was purchased by the Faré family, who still own the estate today. They resumed bottling on the estate in 2010 and, in 2018, entrusted the management of its 65 hectares of vineyards to Julie Barneau and Christophe Deffilippi.
