Château des Bormettes
This estate, located in the renowned terroir of Provence in La Londe-les-Maures, spans 65 hectares of hillside vineyards. Situated in the western part of the Maures region, it enjoys a microclimate within the Côtes de Provence appellation. A family-owned estate since 1930, it is led by Fabrice Faré and supported by a team of passionate professionals, and has continued to thrive over the years.
The vineyards of the Bormettes Castle are located 900 meters from the sea and undeniably benefit from a maritime influence, combined with the stony soil of schist and quartz. The wines are unique and have their own distinct character.
The vineyards at Château des Bormettes are managed using sustainable practices and feature a variety of grape varieties: Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Cinsault, Rolle/Vermentino, Carignan … The vineyard is undergoing a complete revitalization: mass selection of vines, modernization of cellar equipment, and a winery with a capacity of 6,000 hl (2018 production: 2,500 hl). All these efforts are paying off and giving rise to wines that are emblematic of this corner of Mediterranean paradise.
