Rated estate (2023 guide) 1*Star (A high-quality, recommendable wine that lives up to what one would expect from its appellation(s))

About the estate:

Owned by the Bolloré Group, this 108-hectare classified growth has returned to the forefront thanks to judicious investments. La Bastide Blanche, owned by the same proprietor but much smaller, produces wines from 13 hectares of vineyards. The wines display excellent consistency across all vintages, demonstrating the winemaking team’s commitment to quality. However, they still lack complexity and character relative to their cru status.
