Domaine Sainte-Marie
The history of the Sainte Marie estate is almost magical. In 1884, a severe cholera epidemic ravaged the region but miraculously stopped at the estate’s gates. A statue of the Virgin Mary was then erected to thank her. That is how the estate came to be known as the Sainte Marie estate.
Since then, several winemakers have succeeded one another, until today, when the Duburcq family took over the estate with masterful skill in 2007.
Domaine Sainte Marie places great importance on environmental stewardship and practices organic and biodynamic farming.
