Domaine Sainte-Marie
The story of Domaine Sainte Marie is almost magical. In 1884, a major cholera epidemic devastated the region, but miraculously stopped at the estate's doorstep. A statue of the Virgin Mary was erected to thank her. This is how the estate came to be known as Domaine Sainte Marie.
Then came a succession of winemakers until today, when the Duburcq family took over the estate with a masterful hand in 2007.
Domaine Sainte Marie places great importance on respect for the environment, and uses organic and biodynamic farming methods.
