Domaine Sainte-Marie
The history of the Sainte Marie estate is almost magical. In 1884, a severe cholera epidemic ravaged the region but miraculously stopped at the estate’s gates. A statue of the Virgin Mary was then erected to thank her. That is how the estate came to be known as the Sainte Marie estate.
Since then, several winegrowers have succeeded one another, until today, when the Duburcq family has been masterfully managing the estate since 2007.
Domaine Sainte Marie places great importance on environmental stewardship and practices organic and biodynamic farming.
