“A dense, fruity red wine, rich in spicy notes, with aromas of ripe berries, raspberry jam, and baking spices. Medium- to full-bodied, with fine tannins. A smooth, peppery palate that leads to a textured, fruity finish. Can be enjoyed now. ” (James Suckling 2025)

Wine rated (2024 guide) 91/100

About the wine:

The nose offers intense, smoky notes; the presence of a powerful Syrah is clearly evident. This wine displays a lovely concentration of fresh, crisp, and pure fruit, along with very fine tannins, offering a lovely mouthfeel and intensity. It is quite rich—without being too heavy or too high in alcohol—and offers a long finish. Let it age for a few years to allow the tannins to soften.

Review by Mr. GILLES D. Published on June 20, 2025

More expressive and full-bodied than the 2021 vintage, this intense 2022 red—which has retained its energy—unfolds with a dense and abundant palate, harmonized around ripe fruit with lovely smoky and spicy notes, Framed by soft, silky tannins, this is a delightful Cairanne (much like its price) that combines power, roundness, and fruit that lingers right through the finish. Ready to drink with osso bucco and polenta, or a Baron d’Agneau des Alpes with herbes de Provence paired with an eggplant bohémienne. Rating = 4.
