Martin Estate
In 1905, Julien Martin founded Domaine Martin, which at the time comprised 5 hectares of vineyards. Today, the vineyard covers nearly 72 hectares on clay-limestone and alluvial soil, located between Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Gigondas. Sixty-two hectares are classified under the AOC Côtes du Rhône, Plan de Dieu, Villages, Cairanne, Rasteau, and Rasteau natural sweet wine designations, while 10 hectares fall under the IGP Vaucluse and Méditerranée designations.
Domaine Martin’s red grape varieties include Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Mouvèdre, Marselan, and Merlot. The white grape varieties consist of Viognier, Bourboulenc, and Grenache Blanc.
This family-owned vineyard is currently managed by the founder’s great-grandsons, who are committed to working in an environmentally responsible manner and were awarded the High Environmental Value certification in 2020.
