Château Maucoil

Planting on a cool, north-facing terroir at the edge of the Villafranchian Plateau, the vines of Château Maucoil produce wines of great finesse and remarkable elegance. 

In 2022, a new chapter began with the acquisition of Château Maucoil by Jean-Philippe Girard, who also owns Domaine Chantal Lescure in Burgundy. This new direction is driven by a strong commitment: to deepen the understanding of Maucoil’s terroirs and reveal their diversity through increasingly precise plot-by-plot work. This initiative is now being carried out alongside Pierre Vincent, whose experience in Burgundy reinforces this ambition to reveal the identity of each terroir and breathe new life into this “sleeping beauty.”
