Château Maucoil

Château Maucoil was taken over in September 2022 by Bernard Duseigneur, who also owns Domaine Duseigneur, which has been biodynamic for over 20 years. A new chapter is being written at Château Maucoil with a biodynamic approach that respects nature and the environment. The estate is currently developing wine tourism with various tasting workshops (introduction, blending, etc.) and food and wine pairings. 

Three different terroirs make up the Château Maucoil vineyard: red clay subsoil, limestone rock with clay subsoil to the west, and finally sandy hillsides to the east between wooded areas and stony plateaus. The 13 traditional grape varieties of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation are still present: Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Picpoul, Roussanne, Clairette, Bourboulenc, Muscardin, Picardan, Counoise, Cinsault, Terret noir, and Vaccarèse.
