Château Maucoil - Côtes-du-Rhône Villages 2018
2*Étoiles
Hachette
" The jury was unanimous in its praise for this blend of Grenache Blanc and Clairette aged in vats. The tasters appreciated its relaxed, fruity (grapefruit, exotic fruit) and floral nose, and its full-bodied, enveloping and fresh palate, with crisp fruit (lime, exotic notes) and great clarity." (Le Guide Hachette des Vins 2020) A great classic that delivers the special charm of southern whites, with concentration and freshness.

About the estate:
An estate with ancient origins—the Romans established a legion here, and the Princes of Orange their archivist—acquired by Guy Arnaud in 1995. His daughter Bénédicte and her husband Charles Bonnet, who moved here in 2009, have begun the conversion of the 45 hectares of vines to organic farming.

Pleasant floral fragrance, a little too much alcohol for my taste.
