"Exceptional vintage"
"Even better, [...] Fantastic notes of crème de cassis, graphite, toast, garrigue, and beautiful minerality give way to a generous and concentrated Châteauneuf du Pape that shines in every way. A concentrated and long vintage, so give the bottles 4 to 6 years. It will have a total longevity of 20 to 30 years." (Jeb Dunnuck) From the estate's oldest vines, planted in 1923, an exceptional cuvée produced in very small quantities!

Rated estate (2023 guide) 4 stars (Producers of very high quality, those who are the pride of French vineyards)
About the estate:
Mont-Redon is a vast estate covering around 100 hectares of vineyards in Châteauneuf (out of a total of 150 hectares planted), occupying a large part of the plateau of rounded pebbles that bears the estate's name, as well as a section planted opposite the estate. Alongside the long-standing unique Châteauneuf red cuvée, a superb single vineyard selection, Le Plateau, has been created. Although never considered one of the most spectacular wines of the appellation, this vintage ages very well and imposes its quiet fullness. The family also produces quality whites, numerous Côtes-du-Rhône wines, and owns a property in Lirac.

About wine:
The blend is composed of 60% Grenache and 40% Syrah, and the result is a first-rate effort, displaying explosive aromas of cherries, cocoa, and cake spices. Generous, silky, rich, and long, it is underpinned by the structural elements of oak, without being overwhelmed by the wood at all. The finish is long and elegant, with a hint of spice. This wine is a true delight, with a beautiful balance and a long, lingering finish.
