"A concentrated and finely nuanced Condrieu".
"From vines planted near Château Grillet, Condrieu Clos Boucher 2022 reveals a ripe bouquet of almonds, apricots, jasmine, flowers and spices. Medium to full-bodied, textured and enveloping, it's lively with a lovely oaky mid-palate, leading to a long, delicate and ethereal finish. Fresh and beautifully balanced, this vintage captures the essence of Condrieu and promises to be a classic in the making." (Wine Advocate 2025)

Bettane & Desseauve
Domaine rated (guide 2023) 3*Stars (High-quality production that can serve as a benchmark in its sector)
About the domain :
In his new facilities in the heart of Tain, Jacques Grange has at his disposal sublime, state-of-the-art equipment. He is assisted by Marco Beckmann, an Italian oenologist and wine taster. Future vintages look promising. In Hermitage, the new cuvée from the hilltop Grandes Vignes reveals this little-used terroir.

About the domain :
Founded in 1835 and owned by Champagne Deutz (Roederer group) since 1977. Under the direction of Fabrice Rosset and his technical director Jacques Grange, the company has 30 hectares of its own vineyards in the northern appellations, supplemented by grape purchases, with the southern range coming from the négociant-éléveur side of the business.

Domaine noté (guide 2023) Sélectionné (We remind you that this guide is a prize list and as such, all the estates that appear in it, even without a star, represent, in our eyes, the excellence of French production).
About the domain :
Delas has been part of Champagne Deutz since 1977, and is now part of the Louis Roederer group. Priority has been given to vineyards with a high proportion of massal selection plantings. The company has its own vineyards covering 30 hectares, including 10 in Hermitage: 8 at Les Bessards and 2 at L'Ermite. The company completes its range by purchasing musts and grapes. We confess to sometimes being a little circumspect when faced with the overly marked ageing of the most prestigious cuvées, which in our opinion deserve to be worked closer to the fruit and freshness. It should be noted that, since 2019, the house has had a brand-new vinification and reception facility in Tain.

Vinous
Wine rated (2024 guide) 93/100
About the wine:
The Condrieu Clos Boucher 2022 surpasses the La Galopine of the same vintage, offering more freshness, complexity and finesse. Vinified from Viognier grapes harvested on August 22, the 2022 opens with pronounced notes of nettle, apricot, white peach and lemon flesh. Its lively acidity is due to deliberately blocked malolactic fermentation. Finishing with saline and wet stone notes in a concentrated finish, the medium to full-bodied 2022 vintage is exquisite.

About the wine:
Complex nose of very ripe peaches, coconut and tropical flowers. Rich and silky with excellent concentration. Medium- to full-bodied, very finely nuanced palate. Creamy midpalate, then silky on the very long finish. Aged in Burgundy oak barrels for one year, then six months on stainless steel lees.

About the wine:
The Condrieu Clos Boucher 2022 is probably the closest thing we have to a Château Grillet. Magnificent aromatic notes of stone fruit, crushed stone, white peach and mentholated flowers characterize this wine. Full-bodied and concentrated, with a precise, elegant palate and an exceptional finish. Drink between 2025 and 2035.
